What do I need to bring for registration?You must present an ID. There will be designated registration areas for general/student admission and VIP/speaker/sponsor admission.

Where can I view the conference schedule?The conference-day schedule will be updated in the coming weeks. Tune in here or our social media.

Where can I get food and drink at TEDxCUNY?A selection of snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day. John Jay College has an available cafe, and there are numerous food options nearby the venue.

Can I take photos or videos during the talks and performances?During talks and performances, we request that all cell phones are silent or turned off. Absolutely no recording devices or flash photography will be permitted. All talks and performances will be available online after the conference.

What should I wear?Anything you are comfortable in and expresses who you are! We do not have a dress code.

Emily Madray
Lead Organizer
Emily is a senior at the Macaulay Honors College at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, studying Political Science and Government, English, and Human Rights. She is passionate about cultivating positive change in every space she is in. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, trying new cuisines, exploring New York City, dancing, and practicing her faith.
Maya Demchak-Gottlieb
Co-Director of Speakers and Programing
Maya is a senior at the Macaulay Honors College at Baruch College. She is double majoring in English and Journalism/Creative Writing and minoring in Law & Business and NYC Studies. She is passionate about words, both using them and reading them. In her free time, she enjoys writing articles, poetry and fiction; drawing and debating.

Cindy is a senior at Brooklyn College. She is majoring in political science, minoring in Women's and Gender studies while being on a pre-med track. She loves to learn about political and feminist theories that can explain our world. Her favorite activities to do in her free time include editing short videos and watching movies.

He has always been curious about everyone's stories, and aspires to give back to his community through this more personalized lens. He is passionate about biomechanics and neural engineering. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering with Arduino projects, cycling, and taking long walks through Battery Park.
